The 220 SM is the first model in the Wirtgen surface miners range. With a 2.2 m drum and a working depth of 0-300mm, the 220 SM is suitable for the exploration of open pit coal mines, limestone and other minerals.
Surface miners cut and crush rock in one pass without using explosives. They can also cut, crush and load material in a single operation, using a conveyor belt.
